I've had this blog for several years now, but have not posted. Not sure why. I guess I've hoped to have more interesting posts with photos and keep thinking I will do so.

I do love to visit blog sites and spend quite a bit of time doing so. There is so much talent and inspiration. LOVE IT!

It's Spring time here in the north country. I'm looking forward to lilacs in bloom and picking out flowers to plant. Also decorating our porch which is always fun to do.

I said I would post regularly. Hasn't happened.

Here are a few random family photos.....

Happy New Year

It's a new year and I'm going to do my best to post more regularly. We have a busy year ahead - a daughter's marriage and the birth of two new grandchildren. So exciting!

I've spent today picking up and sorting. I worked hard before Christmas getting a couple bedrooms ready for family. It felt good to organize and get rid of some clutter. I hope to continue weeding out - a little bit every day.

The only resolution I'm making is to be kinder and remember the needs of others.

Family

Our son and daughter in law will be here soon. I'm VERY excited as we have not seen them in several weeks. They are expecting. We'll have our fifth grandchild in February. We're so blessed.........

Tacos and Chocolate Cake

We had family for dinner tonight. Tacos and chocolate cake were enjoyed with two of our daughters and three of our grandchildren. Lucky us.....

The time change has thrown me off. I'd like to tackle a few projects, but the wind has left my sale.

Okay....... I've started. I'm organizing my fabrics and I'm cleaning out old quilting magazines. I'm getting rid of quilting magazines for several years back. They're in great shape with wonderful patterns and inspiration, but I just know I don't have enough lifetime left to complete all of projects ......so sad. I feel good about the slow progress I'm making and I will post a few photos soon. It's sad, but every room needs to be tackled and clutter reduced/eliminated. Say a prayer for me to be able to handle it all. It's hard to part with "stuff".......

I Want to Sew

I really want to do some sewing. I did work on favors for our quilt show next spring and also put together a few of the album blocks for our service project...... but darn it I see so many beautiful projects in the blog world. The fabrics are "happy" with beautiful colors. I keep adding addresses to my blog listing. So much talent out there.

Too much on the calendar right now to sew.

We're going to an Alan Jackson concert tomorrow. Our nephew is having a party on Saturday. Sunday is going to be busy also.

Maybe I'll sew next week......

2009 Quilt Show - Part of History Now

Our quilt show is now part of guild history. It was a wonderful weekend. Over 500 attended the show.

Great news!

Our daughter, Anne Marie, and son-in-law, Sean, just announced they're expecting a baby in December. We're thrilled. Being grand parents is a joy!

I enjoyed a wonderful brunch with family at our local Elk's Club this morning. When we left they had already served 320! What a wonderful meal we enjoyed.

My mother died six years ago. I have wonderful memories and think of her each day.
